This organization,
approved by Pope John Paul II: “On 8 July 1997, Pope John Paul II approved the Sodalitium of Christian Life as a lay Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical Right, under the supervision of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.”(Wikipedia)
…was suppressed by means of a decree signed on the 14 of April 2025, following the scandal of abuse and corruption alleged against some of its leaders.
The decree was signed by the SVC Superior General, José David Correa, at the headquarters of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life (Rome), in the presence of the prefect, Sister Simona Brambilla.
