Why does it take the Catholic Church so Long to Stop Sexual Abusers?

Hello, Friends,

here is a theme that has bothered me for years. How does it take the Vatican so long to detect and stop prominent clergy sex abusers in our midst?

Here are my two cents, presented at the yearly conference of International Cultic Studies Association, Montreal, July 2025.
